Defending Canada from American Military aggression

Connoisseur, I believe. I think a key step in general preparedness would be to not send untold billions to Ukraine (though they can keep Freeland) and instead invest those billions in CAF recruitment and training.

    2025 U.S. - Venezuela conflict

I don't imagine Greenland would want "a couple multinational batallions" of EU soldiers in Greenland. Not least because the EU would, if current practice is any measure, immediately demand that Greenland then import several thousand Afghan and Syrian refugees.

Did you learn much on the maintenance side for the vehicles you were driving, or was it mostly driving them?

Reserves as MSEO or Weapons Tech - day to day pros & cons?

I'm looking to join the Reserves as either a Weapons Tech or Mobile Support Equipment Operator - wondering if anyone in those roles can offer any insight into what they are like day-to-day and how much you like your role. Third option is Construction Tech. Any insights much appreciated. Thank you

    Pending application

It sure is a long old road. I'm on it myself, similar timeline to yours. Might be a silly question but (as I don't think you mentioned it) have you tried sending a follow-up email(s). I generally get a response when I do that at least. I've been told it can take 18 months to 2 years so...

    Background check length for non-Canadians?

Your experience sounds much like mine - PR, from Europe. I began the process approximately a year ago. CFAT, medical, and interview all done. I assume I am somewhere in the background check stage. Haven't checked in with them since December but I will likely email this week to see where we are at.

Oh, I suppose it will be whoever the WEF decide they want running the ship. Nothing to do with us, really, we just pay the taxes.

    Medically fit by the RMO

Hi Kolby, I can't share anything specific about the CFAT (we aren't allowed to) but if you are doing the online tests, or one of the CFAT test books available on Amazon then you will be well prepared. It's basically that stuff. Advice? Do the tests under test conditions and to the time you get...

Summer 2024: Rioting across UK cities

That is very much the reality - despite some of the (disappointing) gloating on this site over people getting heavy prison sentences for saying (very) stupid things. And, yes, mostly just those who are opposed to the government are getting this treatment. There is no real balance there.

    What should i do next?

I would say best call during office hours - or better yet, email. That way you don't catch them by surprise, and they may take a look at your file and give you a more useful, considerered response/steps to be taken or whatever. Just my 2 cents.

Officer - PRes for me. I assume Reg folks might be dealt with on a faster track, but that may not be the case.

Summer 2024: Rioting across UK cities

I think you don't really understand the political system in the UK. Only two parties can realistically hope to form a government: Labour or the Tories. There are other parties on the peripheries, two of the more significant being the Liberal Democrats and the brand new Reform party. Reform is...
