    Pre-security timeline for CAF

it took me 3+ months for a simple reliablity status as a Canadian citizen. Ottawa is slammed right now. There is almost no chance a pre screen is happening in 5, the average right now is 18-36 months

Application Process Samples (only with PR) 2022-PRESENT

The reference check and credit check are done first in order to grant your reliability status. Takes a few weeks. It sounds like that’s finished for you. Now you need to wait to be granted secret status. It will likely take a year or two

Application Process Samples (only with PR) 2022-PRESENT

If you spent more then 6 months out of the last 10 years out of country you will likely need a pre assessment. It takes roughly 18-36 months. This waiting period only starts after you’ve been granted the initial background check (reliability status) which will take a couple months by itself...

    Background Check Length

congrats, mine was sent off first week of June so hopefully soon for me, none of mine have been contacted either. Can I ask if you’re under 22? That seems to be the defining factor if they call or not

They give out offers year round, BMOQs aren’t trade specific, the last BMOQ for this year is starting in November. If you haven’t gotten an offer yet you’re probably not going till February or later.

no one but your recruiters will be able to tell you when your medical will be scheduled or if you need additional security screening. By what you’ve said here, there’s a good chance you might need it and in that case your medical likely be scheduled until that’s completed. The average rn is...

    Medical rejected

Not really an opinion, more well known facts abt the process. At the end of the day though, the only opinion that matters is the RMOs and they given it to you, not once but twice. If I was you, I’d put more then just a year of time between when I last got treated to prove it’s not reoccurring...

    Going on 4 months

Anyone here still waiting for RMO review since May or longer? (Not including appeals or complex FDLs). Getting a bit discouraged and already beyond frustrated with the lack of follow up and communication by staff at Regina CFRC. Is this normal or is my chain getting jerked here…? Not looking...

    Medical rejected

Very little chance they make a decision on an appeal in 4 weeks. Letter will come in a few days- weeks and you’ll likely have to get into a specialist for documentation after which I’d suspect a 4-8 month wait. Appeals are the lowest priority of a already slammed medical department

How on earth….. I did my med and interview in may and the Regina detachment has done nothing but give me the run around on both med and background for 3 months. Congrats though man, that’s crazy!

    Credit check issue

Hey guys, weirdly convoluted question but I’m in an interesting predicament in my application and was hoping someone could help. Sorry if this is long I had a chat with a recruiter a while back and was asked if I had any collections accounts. I answered no to this question and to the best of my...
