The reference check and credit check are done first in order to grant your reliability status. Takes a few weeks. It sounds like that’s finished for you. Now you need to wait to be granted secret status. It will likely take a year or two

If you spent more then 6 months out of the last 10 years out of country you will likely need a pre assessment. It takes roughly 18-36 months. This waiting period only starts after you’ve been granted the initial background check (reliability status) which will take a couple months by itself...

Absolutely. The exact starting dates would be October 28th, November 4rth, February 26, or several throughout May.

They give out offers year round, BMOQs aren’t trade specific, the last BMOQ for this year is starting in November. If you haven’t gotten an offer yet you’re probably not going till February or later.

5 months isn’t even close to the minimum wait time, the average seems to be a year and half

Anyone here still waiting for RMO review since May or longer? (Not including appeals or complex FDLs). Getting a bit discouraged and already beyond frustrated with the lack of follow up and communication by staff at Regina CFRC. Is this normal or is my chain getting jerked here…? Not looking...

Very little chance they make a decision on an appeal in 4 weeks. Letter will come in a few days- weeks and you’ll likely have to get into a specialist for documentation after which I’d suspect a 4-8 month wait. Appeals are the lowest priority of a already slammed medical department

How on earth….. I did my med and interview in may and the Regina detachment has done nothing but give me the run around on both med and background for 3 months. Congrats though man, that’s crazy!
