    Storage of household goods?

Hmmm.... I think you skimmed my post.... otherwise you would have realized that pretty much everything you wrote was done.  Obviously I should have stated that a number of the things I did were as a result of reading the moving materials. Being nice and courteous is nice, but it doesn't really...

    Storage of household goods?

Careful with this stuff.  I am literally undergoing my move as I type.  Be careful what you put into storage, and how you pack your stuff.  I had to make several phone calls and encourage some recalcitrant movers to record the serial numbers and models of my most valuable stuff.  Eg.  What they...

BOTC - Aug 27th, anyone going??

Hoho, got a call at 0800hrs this morning from the mover.  She claims she was only given the moving gig yesterday afternoon.  Ah, the government, always "deadline oriented" (*cough*).  Transport date is... the last day possible, on Friday.  Could have been worse I suppose.

BOTC - Aug 27th, anyone going??

I finally got a phone call Monday afternoon.  In principle I should have been contacted 10 days before the training camp was to begin, so I was correct in wanting to know what was going on.  Having said that, I still haven't been contacted by the movers, and they now have only three days to get...

BOTC - Aug 27th, anyone going??

No offence but that was the first and most obvious thing to do  :) Well, I posted here as the last link in my chain of attempting to find out what's going on, having tried all other possibilities.  Of the three numbers I had to contact for my file manager, recruiting sgt. and main recruiting...

    Military Intelligence - Primary Reserves

My cunning tactic of obfuscation succeeded.  ;D

    Military Intelligence - Primary Reserves

This is an old thread, but I am curious.  Would anyone care to elucidate?

BOTC - Aug 27th, anyone going??

Anyone having their stuff moved into public storage actually had it moved yet? I haven't heard a thing, and August 26th is getting pretty close now.

    Bias

Done.  Some corrections are grammatical, and some are those which I believe will improve the tone of the editorial stylistically.

    Bias

There are some shoddy/awkward grammar points, but it seems a good summary.

    A great BMQ video.

14 guys, 1 girl, mixed bag of officer candidates and NCO candidates.

    A great BMQ video.

I went to my swearing in ceremony, and the video from google in the first post is the one they show you when you first arrive at the CFLRS to swear in.  Apparently there is another one for officers, but there were more NCO entrants so they showed the NCO one.  There apparently isn't much...

Monthly Pay after deductions - Questions [Merged]

I have no comission as of yet, but was sworn in today and confirmed I will be paid exactly as I mentioned.  In the room were several different cases who were all being paid at different levels, confirming that the only pay statement to trust is the one which comes from the recruiting centre.  I...

Monthly Pay after deductions - Questions [Merged]

Call your recruitment centre.  I am entering the army as a DEO, and my letter of enrolment has the following two lines in it: Pay rate - 2Lt Incentive Pay Level 2 Rank worn - OCdt (until BMOQ is successfully passed) I suspect every situation will vary.

Monthly Pay after deductions - Questions [Merged]

Ask your recruiter, they will be able to tell you exactly how much, based on your personal details.  Nothing beats information from the horses mouth.

    French Language Training

This is a huge opportunity for me to get my French language training back to up to snuff... I previously had a C in written, an exemption for reading, and a B for spoken... so in seven months I can surely get at least C's if not exemptions for everything.  Thanks to the Canadian tax payer, and a...

BOTC - Aug 27th, anyone going??

I also plan on being there on the 25th since my CFRC file manager asked me to be there by 1400hrs on August 25th.

It's hot and humid... let's go running

I'm not sure there are any ways to "beat the heat."  While training, I always try and run in the early morning or evening when it's cooler.  Also, I run a circular route which repeats itself a few times so I can stash a water bottle(I hate carrying water) in case I need a little refreshment or...

It's hot and humid... let's go running

Well, I am not a runner in the sense of being a runner only to the exclusion of all else.  I usually play two full matches of soccer a week as well.  I am unsure as to how much running is done during a game, but one of my soccer technical fitness guides suggests that a player playing the full 90...
