    Primary Reserve Army Interview

It's a job interview. You should know a bit about the CAF, a bit about the trade you are wanting to do, and the regular stuff like why do you think you would be a good candidate and where do you see yourself in 5 years. There is an NDA attached to the interview, so we really can't tell you much...

Occasional Cannabis Oil Use For Sleep (Medical Exam)

They will do blood work, but only to check your blood type, your G6PD deficiency level (for malaria prophylaxis later on) and your pregnancy status if female. That's it.

Occasional Cannabis Oil Use For Sleep (Medical Exam)

And we can't offer any of those anymore. Cepacol is not in the formulary anymore, and foot powder is now a supply system item, not a medical system item. Booze is typically limited to 2 drinks per event, so I don't even bother. And after you get to certain ranks or leadership levels, it looks...

Occasional Cannabis Oil Use For Sleep (Medical Exam)

You can use it up until you get to BMQ. You can use it on weekends you leave CFLRS and stay in a hotel or go home. There is no drug testing. It is on the honour system. But if you don't have to use it, that's up to you.

Occasional Cannabis Oil Use For Sleep (Medical Exam)

Well, to be fair, coke is not legal, the way cannabis is... I kinda wish I had been staff on that course, just to see that discovery LOL

Occasional Cannabis Oil Use For Sleep (Medical Exam)

Using cannabis (medically or recreationally) will not be allowed at BMQ, at least not while at CFLRS. They go through your bags when you arrive for BMQ and confiscate anything considered contraband. You will get it back at the end of the course.

    Still awaiting Enrollment - LogO

When you are working with and surrounded by a bunch of 18-20 years olds, sometimes you forget you aren't also 20. 3 day hangovers are not fun anymore, and it takes so long to bounce back.

    Still awaiting Enrollment - LogO

For 3. Just remember that you are 36 and not 18. Don't compare yourself to the 18 years olds on your courses.

Benefits for Army Class A Reserve Officers

awesome! Thank you! I tried googling the clinic but couldn't see the street names like you mentioned. It's always either the names or the layout of the streets.

BMQ possibly of failing due to fitness?

It is more likely you would start by being sent to warrior platoon or whatever it is called these days, and given some time to work on your fitness. It's not a great solution, but it is better than being kicked out 3 weeks in.

Benefits for Army Class A Reserve Officers

I can't afford Vancouver LOL even with PMQs! I'm just shocked that they have PMQs...if I were to look on the map, what part of the city are the Qs in? As for units needing people, I've looked on EMAA, no position for me in Vancouver until I get promoted twice more. Sigh.

    FSA (Financial Service Administrator)

Emergencies only seem to happen on a Friday, and usually right after the unit has gone down to minimum staffing because nothing was going on. Suddenly there will be a DART spool up, or a short notice tasking. When I was in a clinic (clearly not a FSA), we often got member welfare checks...

Pre-security and reliability and file closure

How did the closed application waste a year and a half of your potential career? It's a POTENTIAL career - you are NOT guaranteed a job offer just for applying. You don't know why they closed your file, and you didn't think to check on your application for 18 months. There is no recourse because...

    Reserve Cook trades training time

The part time option for courses is almost exclusively reserved for BMQ/BMOQ. Trade courses tend to be full time, over the summer, to accommodate university schedules.

what to bring and what not to bring?

It just has to be presentable. If you like to wear kilts, or you dress all in black/goth inspired, or you like sparkly bedazzled things (you might get some ribbing about this), that is fine. But just pretend, for business casual, that you are having a meeting with a business manager to pitch an...
