But the size of the protest overwhelmed the resources of the locals and very little help was sent in by the Federal government. In fact extra help would have been counterproductive to Trumps agenda.
But BLM protests got far more Federal resources.

IMO there are a couple things wrong with this comment.
Phillips only resigned his cabinet position. Still a MPP. Arcand doesn't hold a cabinet position to resign from.
Secondly neither of them have broke any laws other than common sense. For this there is no actual law broken.

I believe the fight for the CPC will not be with the left but the other 2 right parties the PPC and Wexit in the next election.
Vote splitting may be their downfall.

If it is a Liberal stronghold he will face strong opposition.
