I have a 6/120 vision as well, and that's a v3 level.  Is the new visual acuit policy still V3 for combat arms?  Can someone enlighten me about this?

OK, I've read up on the vision categories, but I don't get what the letters V, cv, H, G, O, and A.  Can you please let me know what those mean.....But I'm guess the V stands for vision?  And the numbers under those categories are the vision graded numbers right?

I have a vision of -1.5 and -2.5.  Do you guys think this will get me rejected from combat arms? specifically the infantry.  I've made it this far(enrollment), and now they have this new eye acuity policy, which I hope goes well, and if not, then it would definitely suck real bad.

I just have a question.  Does the military supply free prescribed glasses for those who need it once we pass all the training?

Yes you are right, my recruiter told me there will be a selection board this coming March 28th as well.

OK thanks for clarifying everything guys.  Wow 25 years of bad vision, wouldn't it have been a good idea to get refractive surgery?

I can only read the big E, and the rest I can't.  Shouldn't they have failed me on that for the medical exam? instead of passing me and placing me on the merit list and getting my hopes up.

OK for example it states "5 infantry(031)"........does it mean that they recruited 5 people for that trade?  I hope that will clearify things. ;D

Is this the amount of people they recruited for each trade?

Just wondering,  is it easier to get into the reserves for infantry?  I applied for regular force but, have been waiting on the merit list since august 04.  And recently I submitted my high school diploma to update my file and in hopes of being competitive.  I am thinking of switching my file...

Are they recruiting a lump sum of ppl in April for the reserves or the regular force?
