131 to be precise... but that includes accidents. The one hundredth died outside the US consulate in Basra... RIP.
The odd thing is that the number has not brought waves of protest... it seems to be just a number. It's a drop in the pond beside the US 3000 and I wonder if the British public are in some way imune to these deaths after years of similar incidents in NI (outrage back then always occured after mass civilian deaths). Anyway... it's a number that will one day be carved in stone... but not a milestone. Thoughts, of course, to friends and family.
