Between BC and potentially Saskatchewan, the tea leaves aren’t necessarily super great for provincial conservatives right now. He probably wants to lock in a new mandate while he’s well ahead, and while the ‘Liberal’ brand is still super toxic because of federal goings on.

Anyone from New Brunswick can confirm a rumour I heard? It was that the Holt brand of Liberals were making very clear during door knocking that they had nothing to do with Trudeau and his brand.

I don't know the provincial political scene in Nova Scotia, anyone care to bring me up to speed?

Anyone from New Brunswick can confirm a rumour I heard? It was that the Holt brand of Liberals were making very clear during door knocking that they had nothing to do with Trudeau and his brand.

I live in Cole Harbour and have been involved in the past Provincially. Houston is striking while the Iron is hot . Against Trudeau and Liberals in general and his Government is starting to deliver on Healthcare change.

My Brother is an Anesthesiologist in the Main Hospital system in Halifax so he does alot of Teaching, Operations and ICU shifts. He says the surgery stats are checked directly every morning by the Deputy Minister of health. Personally. He says the system has never had that type of pressure to deliver results.

And they are being delivered. The N.S. Hip and Knee replacement COVID list has been caught up and they are plowing through regular needs at the fastest pace in N.S. History. The new main Hospital Campus off Robie Street in Halifax is underway and the Sydney Cancer center and cath lab is also very much underway.

There is a new 9 KM Twinned Highway in the Halifax area that will skirt the Bedford Ammo dump and is expected to be opened sometime in the next Month. Hmmm! A renovated and extended part of the Trans Canada leading to Antigonish opened last year and has eliminated a very dangerous older highway. Contracts have been issued for the 103 from Hubbards to Chester for Twinning.

Houston is going to win in a landslide as folks have a bounce in our step. The Population has increased by 140,000 ( Now 1,085,000 )mostly mid career or very comfortably retired folks from all over Canada and around the World. The Shipbuilding contract has absolutely supercharged the Halifax economy with about 40 Construction cranes above the City. Christ, Lower Sackville has three. Folks are REALLY bitching about Traffic .

I am worried that this will back fire on Houston.

Also, it took me 45mins to get from Fairview to Bayers Road while I was on HLTA last week. So ya, traffic is a bitch right now.

The Provincial Liberals don't have the energy or GAF. The NDP is broke and expect Claudia's New York City heritage to be brought up if You know who wins next week. Liberal leader Churchill has been blindsided by defections and the embezzlement in the Liberal head office. Houston had funds stolen from his riding Office but went public and to the Police instantly. The Liberals are still trying to cover their situation up. Even my very Liberal 87 year old Father is giving credit to Houston as folks are talking about his changes but not bitching about them.

The election call did backfire on Higgs in N.B. but Higgs was fired because he was a very public and even worse in private, Prick. N.B. always seasaw's between the Liberals and there spendthrift ways anchored in French Northern N.B and then the Adults in the rest of N.B. chuck them out and usually rien in the Spending. Higgs to his credit paid down over 2 Billion in Provincial debt.
He also stopped projects like the further twinning of route 11 to lets see yah the French North shore. Its like all governments and the accumulation of the yes and no's, mistakes and triumphs. Houston has, at this time, far more triumphs than mistakes.
Liberal mileage and hurt feeling will say otherwise.
