If anyone actually turned a Sea King into a man cave, wouldnt it reek of fuel?

20 military helicopters for sale in Lincolnshire! Would they make the perfect man cave?

By Lincolnshire Echo  |  Posted: March 14, 2016

Here's a look at the old MOD helicopters up for sale at Witham Specialists - choose from more than 20!

A Grantham company is looking to sell more than 20 Sea King helicopters to aviation enthusiasts who want to turn them into anything from man caves to offices.

Witham Special Vehicles is based at a 600-acre disused airfield just off the A1 at Grantham and the company is the sole marketing agent for virtually everything the Ministry of Defence no longer needs.

Managing Director Paul Southerington runs the biggest military surplus dealership in Europe.

His car lot is the equivalent of 300 football pitches and you could take your pick from around 25 Sea King helicopters.

For anyone that wanted one as a man cave (I certainly would) that would be part of the reason.

To be fair though, it's exhaust, not fuel.  Sea King crews know what fuel smells like and when they smell it they know how to react...

I wonder if I'm more enamored with it than daft and barmy. .. it saved him walking but kept me from swimming at least a couple of times...

He wishes to free of the curse of BC ferries, skimming over the waves in his own helo. I would not be surprised if ours get bought up for heli-logging.

Perhaps Canada should buy a couple in case the Cyclone is delayed anymore?

IIRC there's a civilian version flying out of Vancouver as a passenger carrier.
