To convert vids for FREE into either .mp4 or .h264, use the Videora iPod Converter. Ive had it for about a year, and it works pretty good, just a bit on the slow side.

No doubt! I am the recent owner of an mp3 player also (it's actually in my new cell phone) does sound great, but the walkman was definately alot easier to figure out! My phone came with a CD, and when you download the program on the computer, you drag songs with your mouse from your music library on the computer, and download them into the phone from there. I'm enjoying it so far

I use a program called Videora...it's a media converter for Apple TV.  Converts pretty much any video file to mp4, so it works on both apple tv and ipod.  It's really small, non-invasive, and it works.  And it's free...so no searching for cracks or cd keys  8) 

I have the same 80 gig video...I have to note that the available audio/video cables are a must.  Makes it super easy to just plug into any tv and watch whatever you've got on your ipod.
