a bit of help please

Hello to everyone, well my case its a bit complicate, and I have a lot of questions....

Im half Canadian/Spanish, my native language its Spanish and second English. I always regret to don't join to he forces and now im think to join, my English its better but I need to improve it, speak Spanish should be and extra?.

Well im 24 and I a bit scare because im getting to hold, I think time its gold, I will love to go to infantry and maybe try the special forces :threat:, but imagine.... if I decide to go out from the forces or if I get injured and I cant work as an infantry, I don't think I will have a nice resume to get a good job.

The question its, if you know any department/ section on the forces when you have fun learning  cool stuff and get jobs for example like logistics(its good to have experience there its always work)?

I don't know if im going to lose my Spanish passport if I join.

I think everyone have different qualities and its always good to use them.
The forces have something to give you advice to know where you can fit better?

As long as you are a Canadian Citizen, you'll be fine. If you have dual citizenship it will be reviewed and you'll be notified if you can or cannot keep you Spanish citizenship.

Keep working on your English, having a second language is always a plus, however here in Canada and much so with the Canadian Forces - English  and French are the official languages. If you can learn both French along with improving your English, even better!

Take a look at http://www.forces.ca and research other trades. There are few Infantry jobs and competition is tough so you will need a backup plan.

You can always call or visit a Recruiting Centre close to you.

Thanks for replay so fast. I thought dual citizenship where aloud in Canada.

I did check the www.forces.ca a lot times last 3 or 4 years, and I did saw all the jobs, its was some programs on discovery channel about the Canadian forces.

I did call the recruiting centre but the problem its I'm living in London (U.K) and its a bit far.

I think all the jobs are very interesting for sort terms but like always I'm a bit lost were I can fit in long terms ???, I like to keep learning, never give a brake to my brain...

I'm a bit scare if I join to the infantry I will be stack there and I could not move up or to other department.

Competition for Infantry jobs? I thought was plenty of them...

When I was in Calgary was plenty of adverts on the TV looking for more people to join.

I still have more questions but I will think how to write it on paper because its a bit messy on my head.

You are going to face many hurdles then.  You have a "residency" problem here, that will slow down all your processing.  This will also be a cause for delays in the processing of your "Reliability" checks, due to the requirement of criminal background checks in both the UK and Spain.

"residency" I was living in Calgary, Banff. I still have got the bank account open, any way I'm planning to move to Ontario in April. Do you think that its a problem? ???

Criminal records..... more??  ??? I'm working at the airport and take me ages to get my criminal records from Canada, Spanish and English are very fast knowing they are going to ask me the criminal records I will make sure when I live the country get them done.

From what I have been told by the staff at the Recruiting Center, Infantry is competitive to get in.

Also, transferring trades is not also easy. It takes time, qualifications, and normally a wait list until positions open up in that particular trade. I have also read that people have waited for years before they were able to transfer.
(These are all from either what I have read myself, and/or what I have been told by a recruiting officer/staff member)

I can not belief it!!! :-\ I thought in Canada anyone had a good job and the forces were nearly empty and were looking for recruitment's, its always adverts on the TV looking for new stuff to join...

Transferring its difficult to?  :-\  do you know if they are going to star looking for more people ? Canada is going to Syria?  ???what its the easiest position you can apply to get in the forces?

If i pass the physical with very good level helps me a lot to pass the others? I'm dyslexic and always I have trouble with the written exams I really prefer practical.....

The written exams are on the PC or a written in paper?

I think you need to do some research by reading the forums or doing a google search on the CAF. Getting into the forces is not a simple or easy thing to do. It can be a very long process as some have waited a few months to years at getting in. Understand that since you have lived in different countries that the secuirty screening is going to take time which will slow your process down.

The CAF is currently cutting its budget.
