When someone writes "the FCC", the full implied nomenclature (as with any executive agency) is "the FCC of the X administration". Those are all just particular interpretations of the phrase, none of which is presumptively correct.Meanwhile, the FCC itself has this to say here (highlights all mine) ....
Based on recent precedent, I'm sure Congress, the Senate and the Courts will be eager to push back POTUS47 on this, as they have on so much else lately.
No misunderstanding, just different administrations fitting vague legislation to particular agendas.
I support pretty much unlimited free speech. I disapprove of Carr's action. It isn't beyond the pale, though.
