A Deeply Fractured US

"They" is doing a lot of work suddenly. Trump's comments belong to Trump. I've seen a couple of "defences" that try to ignore it by noting that Reiner was unpleasant to Trump on social media, but very few are picking up that flag. There is no Reiner-Kirk equivalency here.

This is getting way out of hand. Walz has also announced he won't be running again.

From what I have seen and read Minnesota seems to be a bit of a mess at the moment. Perhaps change is what is needed.

ICE shot and killed a US citizen in Minneapolis today.

She wasn't blocking ICE intentionally, you can clearly see her waving them through and hear her saying "go around" at the start trying to turn herself

I can hear LEO ordering her to get out of the car at least 3 times then she accelerates with an officer directly in front of her, narrowly missing him.

Trump says he will not permit dividends and stock buybacks for defense companies

This is domestically somewhat equivalent to musing about invading Greenland. Really off the wall; he's on a roll.

I am of course interested to learn what authority the administration intends to wield to effect that.

Yeah, right. You said that in October 2022
I deem I'm correct about the lack of focus, by simple observation. He's all over the map lately, none of it particularly coherent.

Many of his critics are triumphantly pointing to signs of age-related fatigue, along with hopes of mental decline. If they're correct, I'm correct on both counts.

monty python and there was much rejoicing GIF

What in the heck is he talking about? Where does he imagine he has any say in this?
Please remember that the US Gov't has already taken ownership stakes in a number of US (and Canadian) companies.

The US loves to talk about everyone else being 'Socialists' but here they are actively taking ownership in US companies and now attempting to tell US companies how there are able to use their own capital/profits. Unreal.

Oh, I remember.
