Hey, I'm wondering how many of you have applied to be Army communications and information systems specialists?

Myself as well. Currently in Week 6 of my bmq.

How's BMQ going? Congratulations on making it this far. I'm just waiting for the next step. I had to have some dental work done and was cleared this past Wednesday. I was told my file was being sent to Ottawa on Friday and could take 3 to 6 weeks to be approved our denied.

Been quite the adventure. Very challenging for sure. Not just physically, but mentally. Teamwork is a biggie. Always work together with EVERYTHING you do. Has its ups and downs. But overall, its been a lot of fun.

That is encouraging. I'm looking forward to hearing about the next step in the process. Best of luck with your bmq. I've been preparing the best I can.

I just got a job offer for ACISS last week. I have BMQ on the 20th.

Congrats. I'm eagerly waiting to see if I get an offer call in the coming weeks

I applied yesterday morning via online submission, though I'm going Reserves for the time being.

I also applied for ACISS. Finished everything up earlier this week and now just waiting for the selection and was told that I should hear back early november but that my application was strong and I shouldn't have any issues.

I certified with the recruiting centre today. My medical file arrived in Ottawa on Oct 9 and reference check request sent this past week. Now just the waiting to see how it all pans out.

Congrats. I'm waiting til November I hope as well. I received a letter telling me to wait it out.

I applied as well, reserve though. Supposed to start around January 15ish!!!  :D

what im goin  for too!  still havnt done my CFAT .. but  im really prepared and  since ive been workin for a ISP full time for the last 4 years and have a real nice relation with my bos  im  confident to get a job .... but now im 35 and need more chalenge that civ job can offer :salute:

The recruiting center here in Kingston told me that they shouldn't be taking in any more applicants for communications, but she will let mine slide, and not to get my hopes up for that trade even though I scored well on my CFAT.

ACISS:  I have it set as my main trade.  I hope to get into it or infantry.  At least with infantry they do have a comms guy within their squad.

I'm applying to be reserve ACISS with 31 signal regiment. I'm just waiting to hear back from the background check.  ;D

Haven't posted any recent updates.
I started a blog of my process experience if anyone would like to read it I will have it in my profile as I don't know it posting it here is acceptable or not.

Hey Chris, I read through your blog, I really hope you get cleared out of the application phase, it can be a drag..
I believe you can post those in the 'Personal Stories' section, should be safe!

Thank you. I figured it was better to play it safe.
Latest news is I'm still waiting. It has been over a year since I applied. Next month it will be a year since CFAT, Medical and Interview.

I'm hoping to hear some thing this week
