Wonder what "recce" means. All I found out that its advanced courses or something. Not sure if its a abbreviation or a word in the army thanks   :

There's also a three-letter acronym for a three-letter acronym - TLA. I found that endlessly amusing when I saw it in print in a CF document somewhere.

What is the difference between CO and OC?  US/Canadian, or is there a rank difference as well?

CO = Commanding Officer (of a Unit)

OC = Officer Commanding (of a Sub Unit)

You have the CO of the Bn and the OC's of the Coys.

Comd = Commander (of a formation)

The OCs report to the COs and the COs report to the Comd (ie. Comd 2 CMBG)
