Our democratic institutions are threatened by extremists both from the extreme Left and extreme Right. Once in power, their leaders would never step down. Majority of the people and the military support the chain of command and the lawful incumbents just like the way Canadian Forces support the chain of command and the lawful incumbent Harper. They might have had alleged shortcomings but strictly applying the law, they're lawful presidents and vice-presidents. All their grievances were deliberated upon, voted upon and were given attention. Democracy is the worst form of government with the exception of all the rest. Democracy is the best!

mediocre1, in the only pseudo-democratic process most North American's think they understand right now, you would have been voted off the island long ago.

Their (coup plotters')grievances include corruption at the highest levels of government. My counter-arguments are: They should had or have dealt with them on a case to case basis instead of annihilating persons in power some of whom in the chain of command are innocent (I know a lot of them. They're clean) instead of destroying all democratic institutions and install an authoritarian or totalitarian junta. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Guilt by associaton is a violation of the constitution. We go back to the primitive days when you follow this maxim. They must adhere to the rule of law and respect authorities and democratic institutions.

he never offered condolences to the innocent victims of 9/11

the good and holy cory aquino granted him pardon and his prison release
but he offered no sympathies when her daughter was strickened with venereal disease
