Anthrax vaccinations

Posted by Kyle Anthrax from St. Albert AB Canada on March 28, 1999 at 21:53:46:

Hi I am doing a presentation on the anthrax virus, and
am wondering if Canadian military personnel are still
required to submit to an innoculation against the
disease. Could someone please help me with this?
Very much appreciated.

The vaccination is only given in specific circumstances, such as being deployed to an area where the possiblity exists that it would be used as a weapon against us. The example most often remembered of late is personnel deploying to the Persian Gulf.

Although we receive numerous vaccinations at intervals throughout our careers, this isn‘t included in the series.
