Anyone airbrush their camo?

Morning all!

I'm looking at doing a custom camo paint job on rifle i own, and have a few questions for those that do their own. I've posted on the airbrush forums, but to be honest i didn't feel any of the reply's met the requirements put out.  I have a Fibreforce stock and will be using a duPont plastic adhesion promoter (a-2330s) as a primer....then airbrushing the camo pattern (waterbase)... i have the standard matte clear coat i use on all my other projects, but they don't see the abuse that a rifle will see in day to day use. I'm looking for tips/suggestions/hints on how to get a non-glare durable finish. The rifle wont see a lot of heavy brush, but between the range and deer season and some coyote hunting it sees about 20 days a year. (plus the GF is begging to graduate from her .22  :facepalm

Made a small enough picture.. its not combat camo.. its just something i thought looked good, and the deer and yote shouldn't mind

Was never overly convinced of the practicality vs LCF myself.

I know when I used to work in Hobby stores before I joined the military we used to sell a "flat-cote" spray... hitting it up with that wouldn't do the job? It's a sealer and would be used as a final spray on 1:35 scale armour to tone the whole thing down and ensure its "realism".

After following a bunch of links and more links of links i found a few products that worked well together.. The plastic bonding spray (in sand color....WIN!!) and a two stage sealing product (Arma-coat) ... takes a week to set, but its better than touching up the paint after each outing.. thanks all for your input .. here's a few pics of the paint job i did last night, i'll let you know how the coating goes.

@Bzz - i did coat it with 2 layers of matte clear coat .. just to keep it safe while i take it to the Arma-coat guy, but by itself it won't hold up to much abuse... though to be fair i have never really tested its limits.
