I would like to say that I find this site very resourceful in preparing for the forces.

I will be putting my application in late - summer.  I am self-employed (part-time) and will have to finish my contracts with my clients. This time will also give me an opportunity to get into shape and to study.

The positons I am applying for: Image Technican, Intelligence Operator or Air Traffic Controller. I would like to hear from people who are applying for these positions or are currently working in the field.

Also it is nice to see women posting here. Any advice in training especially Push and pull ups? As well as those who have a family.

Hmmmmm... what possible advice could I give you???

How about trying the SEARCH function as this question has been asked (and answered) atleast a gazillion times.

::)

If image tech is your first choice you will be waiting a longgggggggggg longggggggg time to get in (probably more than a year). It was my third choice and the recruiter told me I would get my first two but image tech is never really an open trade , most people remuster to it.

Oh and do a search!!! >:D

Only a gazillion??

Enjoy the reading.

This is no longer the title of the trade.  There is Aerospace Control (AEC), which is an officer trade, or Aerospace Control Operator (AC Op), which is the NCM side of the trade.

The links that I provided for you on the recruiting website give you lots of information.  However be aware that if you are looking for strictly ATC, you are not guaranteed that side of the trade at all.  There are also many threads on both AEC and AC Op on the airforce boards of the forums.

Welcome to the board traveler! As soon as i read your post I knew it would be followed with at least 3 or 4 "use the search function" comments. Do not be dismayed though. They are tough but fair here.  We just hear alot of the same questions over and over again. The best thing to do is refesh an old thread if all the info in it still does not answer your question.  I have seen some recently pertaining to a few things you wanted to know. They should still be on the 1st page of the recruiting boards.

Again do some research first and dont be bothered about the short replys. If new people didnt ask the same questions this would be a very quiet  forum ;). Topics have been covered a million times, but sometimes things change or people want personalized answers. You will find once you know how it works here, people will warm up to you.

Good luck with your trade choices. Its so hard to pick. Thats what i found anyways!

P.S With pushups all you can do is start at one proper pushup and work your way up. I found trying to do them evertime it pops into your head works well. I went from a sad one pushup, to 10 in about 2 weeks. Which im satisfied with because I have very little upper body strength. Just keep at it! :pushup:
