I cannot believe that this hasn't been discussed ad naseum, however no joy on the search function....

Need recommendations of manufacturers' of good, reliable magazines for the AR 15.

As well, where's the best place to buy?

Thanks- Garry

I've heard some good things about MAGPUL products from KevinB and others. They offer the following...

Enhanced Self-Leveling Mag followers

Ranger Plates

pinned for 5 rounds?

If that's the case, MARSTAR sells AR15 mags pinned for 5 rds (as well as mags for many other firearm variants.)

Well, your local restricted firearms dealer/s should be able to bring them in and pin them if needed, to comply with the law. Seeing as how assembled 30rd mags are illegal in Canada it is going be impossible to get them here for private use. If you were to try bringing mags across the border from the States, they would be seized. It is interesting enough that magazine parts are not prohibited, meaning it is legal to have the mag bodies, base plates, springs and followers as long as they are not assembled and could bring them back into Canada and vise versa..... I just got plain Labelle teflon mags with black followers, I am now looking into those Magpull products and swapping the springs...

Yup everyone get your opinion in on this one ::)

Garry

I found Wolverine Supplies http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/ to have the best prices on them. I have a bunch of the aluminium ones and they have performed without any problems so far (in an HK with mag conversion), not sure what make they are though.

Well, I don't think anyone got your opinion with a statement like that... :D I have an idea for you though, how about you learn how to spell, then post back here with a coherant arguement. Maybe then I'll take you seriously. Did this make sense to anyone? All I got was "Yup, everyone got your opinion on this one," That still doesn't make any sense, however.

Wolverine - John Hipwell has the Armalite one (made by/for Armalite) they are a good USGI spec mag and come with the green follower.

I have about 10 - they are a good mag (IMHO not as good as the CF issue Labelle Teflons) but a close second. Wolverine is about the onyl reliable AR distributor left in Canada.
