Jordanian, Very similar to the one depicted below (differing in scabbard size and colour) My camera isn't working.

First in a series of installments on my growing collection.
The Shebriya is a short straight very very sharp knife native to Jordan and Syria mostly but with trade it wouldn't be uncommon to find one anywhere in Arabia.
One of a kind though, hand crafted.
Translating the inscription when I get a chance.
By the look of it it's designed for royalty but most daggers are designed with that purpose in mind though they rarely see Royal hands.
It's not particularly old but it is rare to find one hand made and one of a kind.

Part of an expanding collection which I will post when I get around to taking pictures of them all.
For all the knife lovers a taste of Arabia:

Nice. Not exactly used for cutting paracord! Is it ceromonial or functional?

Oh believe me it's bloody functional, the first thing I did was cut my hand on it. I wouldn't bring it on EX however haha.

Though I would expect to see any Jordanian or Syrian official in traditional dress with the same sort of knife around their waist.
Don't get me wrong though, not this particular one.

Next week will be the Moorish Sword that's on order right now.
