Hi,
I am currently a 15 year old high school student just finishing 9th grade (exams in a week or so) and I have been interested in joining the Canadian Forces for as long as I can remember. Right now I'm keen on joining the Armoured Corps (hopefully Dragoons) but I don't know what to expect. What would it be like? What should I expect? Do Armour Officers do the same jobs as a Armour Soldiers in the LAVs or Tanks (except of course they're the ones leading)? Would being (or anyways trying to be) an Armour Officer be better? Are the Forces hiring these positions? I am very athletic (House A and B Hockey for 3 years, Coach Pitch and Minor Baseball for 3 years, and Junior Rugby), I run and work out consistently, I am a Cadet (Bombardier), and I have an 84% average in academics at the moment. I am keen on getting out on the field and deploying and I am no stranger to hard work and labor. I've also heard that some Armour Officers get called away for Administrating Jobs instead of working with their corps is this true?
Please excuse me if I didn't provide enough information and for appearing very ignorant to this subject but if anyone could answer that'd be very helpful. And I also apologize in advance if I am in the wrong section to post this topic.
