I just read and wanted to share a fantastic article by Christy Somos on the relationship between CSE and CAFCYBERCOM, and active/offensive cyber operations. It’s a straightforward read, maybe 10 minutes, and raises a lot of compelling questions about how Canada’s engaging in cyber warfare and how we may be sneaking CSE around some of the conventional reporting lines through the assistance to CAF mandate. Great read for anyone with a mind to policy / law of armed conflict, and it’s not overly technical.
