Cleared with Mike.

Hey gang, I have told the runners I know, now I am telling the runners I cyber-know.
I am a manager of Sports Experts in Dartmouth, my store is part of the Sport Chek chain. This is not the start of a advertising habit. Just passing on a great deal.

There is a clear-out sale starting Tuesday, March 7, on the Asics Keyano XI to make room for the XII model. Regular price $219.99, sale price $139.99. This is the best deal we have had on a shoe in recent memory.
This deal is available at Sport Cheks nation wide.
If you are in the market for a new pair, it is a great buy.

Info on the current shoe here. Keyano XII

Runners World Editor's Choice

Available in men's and ladies.

They are a stability shoe that has excellent cushioning.
Just a heads up for all.

Thank you for your time.

Any chance that Sport Chek is going to get any Under Armour Tactical Wear?  I can buy it on ebay but I hate the shipping costs.

As a person who has worn the Kayano's for the last 2 incarnations (XI and the latest, XII) I whole heartedly recommend these shoes (assuming that they are your "type"..... make sure they suit your foot, running style, etc). I WISH I could have bought them at $139. I paid $199 (per pair) for both the XI's and for the XII's (albeit with the 10% off - military discount - from Running Room).

Anyway, good deal, and if I was closer to Halifax I would probably buy 2 pairs at that price.

P.S I second the recommendation for SC to get the UnderArmour tactical gear. I have been checking eBay for Canadian locations, but no joy (lately). Running Room carries the Next to Skin (NTS) line, which is similar to UA, but only in black, grey and white.

platty, what would you need it for?  You can't sweat in an air conditioned office!!

I have requested the OD UA from the buyers, but no joy yet. Sorry.

Any other product ideas I should be bumping up the line.
Already sent info regarding Danner's. Pm me with any must haves.

With Mikes permission, of course, I will try to post any other deals like the Keyano.

Bzzliteyr - FYI - I don't have an air conditioner in the office and CTCHQ does not have a built-in sprinkler system so when I instantaneously combust from the heat of the staff work I do, combined with the heat from my dual monitor system and the normal hot air found around an HQ - I will think of you.  However the job I am supposed to be moving into this summer does have an air conditioner:).

Frankie - I would suggest Olympic bars and some "bumper" plates. The Fredericton Sportchek has an Olympic bar with some cast iron york weights however the bumper plates are better for the floor when you drop them because they are made from solid rubber.  I don't know of a lot of distributors in Canada let alone out East.

Bad news from my HQ. UA in OD is not available to us as of yet. Some "country of origin" issue?  ??? Earliest estimate for the "army" line fall '07. I will keep you updated if and when there is a change.
Sorry folks. Hands tied.

As for bumper plates and squat racks, waiting to hear back regarding them.
