Hi, I'm joining the army reserves. I was wondering what I would do at the armoury when I'm there? From BMQ--to the end of SQ, and beyond.

Until you get course loaded, you may or may not be directed to attend unit parade nights during the week, there you will continue to fill out copious amounts of paperwork and maybe learn a thing or two about the C7 and C9.

You will also need to book appointments for your NDI 10 at the MP Section, Clothing Stores for kit issuance sizing (then you get to wait eons for it to be delivered), register at the Medical section and the MFRC.

During courses, you may not get to continue to parade with your unit because of budget constraints however it is up to the CO to approve it. In my first year, I was lucky and got a full-time summer BMQ and BMQ-Land (formerly SQ) which was not a disruption to parading with my unit. If you do get permission to parade with the unit you will probably be place in a Trg Section or a PAT Section/Platoon where during the week you'll continue to be taught basic drill, weapons handling/cleaning, PT.

It all depends on how large your unit is, and how they run things. Best is to ask your chain of command.
