Australian Sea King Crashes

... and here's what appears to have caused the problems...

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,16518814^31477,00.html

"A SUSPECT piece of machinery that had been examined just two months before an Australian Sea King helicopter crashed in Indonesia in April has been blamed for the deaths of the nine crewmembers on board the aircraft.  A navy board of inquiry heard yesterday that the "bell crank" in the helicopter's flight control system had been reinstalled, not replaced, despite the objections of a technician."

Older Helos in need of parts.
Someone probably felt that keeping the aircraft up in the air for a little while longer was worth the risk......... guess he was wrong.

Would venture to say that your Sea Things are going thru some of the same problems as ours.

Any plans on replacements?
