Can anyone point me in the direction of a good Auto Insurance company (by good I mean cheap) that preferability offers military discounts.

The cheapest rate I got was with the Personal at $420/month just for liability for a little Nissan Sentra because I have had no previous insurance history. I was told that just by renting a car for one day can lower my premiums, but since i'm under 25, thats out the window. Anyone know a way to get experience with Auto Insurance?

Funny how Ontario has really cheap prices for cars, yet, they get you back for the Insurance rates, well, for the majoirty under 25.

Go under your parents insurance plan.  And don't live anywhere near a city.

i've found that direct protect  gave me the best rate and it's all over the phone.  no asles for claim either

try direct protect 1 800 810 4990

I live in Borden and my parents are in BC, I don't think that will work.

there is one that my dad has. it is $200 a month. it is johnston insurance.

hell no. it would probably skyrocket if i were on it. you know a teenage male. insurance companies don't like us.  no i am really not sure what it would be if i were to be put on it. i would have to pay it myself though. plus i don't even have my licence yet.

I am a teenage male (19) with two speeding tickets, and the qoute I was given was $1961 / 6 mos.

With me on my mums it's went from $1200/year to $2200/year. With drivers ed and no tickets or anything. I can't remember which company we're with.

At least you don't live in a province that had to legislate their Insurance Companies to roll back their ridiculous rates.

Ontario insurance may seem expensive, but there are provinces out their with higher rates. I spoke to people posted in from BC and Ont to NS and they saw anywhere from a 15-50% increase in rates.

As I posted this link earllier, I'll do it again.  We had this very discussion just last month.  See what we have already said.  Search "INSURANCE" and you'll see where we went with this topic.

ya my dads insurance will probably go to about that if i go on it. it is pretty good though, considering what accidents he has been in recently. including 1 fatality. they were all not his fault so he was lucky.

when I moved from BC to NS my auto insurance was almost cut in half.  I'm not a big fan of provincially regulated insurance simply from my experience with ICBC.

I'm paying roughly $100.00 a month as a secondary driver on my parents 4 door 2004 Accord...
