Directly from the executive summary :

The board president found,through clear and convincing evidence, that distorted data into the MA flight control computers caused an uncommanded, 30 degrees nose high pitch-up on takeoff resulting in a stall and subsequent crash.

This distorted data was caused by the presence of moisture in the PTUs.

I hope that lots of people got lots of educational value out of that $1.4 Billion absolutely priceless and irreplaceable column of smoke.

My intent was to adress Time Expired's statement that it sounded like a computer glitch. What it "sounds like" is rarely so.

After all, someone posted this :

Scuttlebutt here says that the pilots were intoxicated. Probably just more unsubstantiated rumors.

I wonder who started that one.

I read the report and its very clear as to the cause of the crash. Theres no "it sounds like it was.......".

I'm sorry if i sounded like an asshole , i just thought that the report was very clear as to the cause of the accident. It's not about you voicing an opinion. It was just that your opinion did not go with the accident report itself.

Honestly, i assumed that you had read the report and understood what was in it. If you did not ( in either case) then i apologize for seemingly jumping down your throat.
