From my understanding , it is "better" to put in a VR request before completing your DP1 (what about starting it?). I'm currently awaiting to start my BMQ-Land course but I'm unsure of something. Would completing BMQ-Land complicate the VR request to the extent of say completing your DP1? Or, does it have no effect?

Although I have read through them all, I don't see any info regarding BMQ-Land and VRing specifically.
Let me reiterate, I understand that once one completes their DP1 training (Basic Occupational Training, QL3, etc) they are "locked in" to their contract for a minimum of 3 years (if their contract / vie is longer than 3 years) and therefore "VRing" at that point complicates things and the only consideration that may be given is through "compassionate circumstances".
What I'm asking is regarding a VR before the completion of DP1/Basic Occupational Training (or even the start of it), specifically, during the time of BMQ-Land (which is in my case, before DP1), so;
Would finishing BMQ-Land "lock you in" as say finishing your DP1 (BOT) would ?
