Which boots are currently issued to new recruits?
Specifically Make and model? I assume their black.
Also assuming Navy, Army, Airforce would all receive the exact boot.

I want to add, which rug sack is issued? Make and model, and does it come standard with a waist belt?
At one time, only 20% of the rucksacks issued, had a waist belt.

Thanks

Your standards are pretty high if you think that recruits are getting ruck sacks.
I don't understand. How else you suppost to do 12k march with 25kg of gear? I was in infantry before. We were all issued ruck sacks.

You took the time to comment, but can't answer the boots Q

Give me the flippant info I asked for and not your sarcasm. Recruits are issued a flipping ruck sack ffs
I've been staff on multiple BMQ's where they weren't given ruck sacs. They used a small pack/duffle bag combination to move stuff around. Some of them even went out and bought surplus ones. At one point we didn't even have sleeping bags to give them, they were even taking sleeping bags away from people.

Royer again?

Not surprised, again ;)

Don't know what you have against Royer. I wear Royer work boots at work and I much prefer them to the Dakota, Timberland or Merrell's I've worn before. They were comfortable from the first day, needed little to no breaking-in and didn't give me any calices. I can't say the same thing for any of the other ones.

For someone entering BMQ, you certainly have attitude. I suggest that you learn to be a tad more humble and accept that you are the newbie. Also chances are that the long-time members of this board, likley out rank you by a fair degree and learning how to stand your ground without being disrespectful to a superior or a peer, is an art that will assist you greatly in the future.

And now the CAF is in a procurement slump. I went to PLQ a few years ago, and had to fight for everything on my kit list. I even had to go to multiple clothing stores because they didn't have everything in one location for me.

"Infantry before" does not equal "CAF standards now".

With that attitude, your chances of getting assistance and cooperation here just went negative.
"You get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar" as my grandparents used to say.

I think we're passed the point of asked and answered. Time for a lock.
