So ?

I think that the headline is deliberatly inflamatory.......... ::)

deliberatly = deliberately
inflamatory = inflammatory

At least in the US English dictionary.

Better than that, what about a comparison between Canada and Australia:

When was the last time you saw a Salt Water Croc meander up the St. Lawrence, or any of the myriad poisonous spiders and snakes that wander backyards, or baby-stealing dingos, or running out of gas in the middle of a desert or getting stung by a sting-ray or eaten by a Great White while scuba diving?

It depends on where you are: it seems to me the west is more dangerous than the east (I grew up in Toronto, but have lived out west for 13 years).  In Ontario (at least in my experience) there is much less awareness of what's out there.  A few examples:

Running out of gas in the mountains;
Avalanches, falling rocks;
Hobo and Black Widow spiders;
Baby-stealing (and adult-eating) cougars {coyote attacks are less common, but happen, too: just last month http://www.canada.com/cityguides/winnipeg/info/story.html?id=4f0b2077-2ff1-4bae-90bd-42f748632f6f&k=31197 };
Bears of all types (grizzlies and polar bears being the most dangerous);
Rattlesnakes (of course);
etc., etc.

To cut through the sarcasm,

I think the message being sent to you Boxseats was

Let the mods do the modding.

There is no need to be a spelling Nazi.  And as a result of your
post the entire thread is now in need of cleaning, wasting valuable
modding.

With that, I await a mod to clean.

Ah, Trinity (smiling).  You fell into that one nicely.  The moderators do not make comments like the misspelled one when there is US slamming going on.  Now, you have used an inflammatory term, Nazi.  This just gets better.

I look forward to egalitarian cleansing by the moderators.

Try searching in the User Guidelines, look for trolling and personal attacks. You know, the ones you were supposed to read and agree to, when joining and, before posting here.

Please don't derail the thread with anymore personal stuff like this.

got it.  i am not in warning-system land.  "notice" was not clear.

from the rulez (is there really a "z" in canada, there?)  cut/pate below:

In order to keep things running smoothly here, Army.ca uses a "warning" system designed to help curb inappropriate posts and behaviour. The warning system has four tiers, culminating in a full ban from the forums. This methodology gives people a clear indication they're on the wrong track, while giving them time to set things straight.

There are 3 levels to this system:

User Group Restrictions When to apply Duration
Verbal Warning Can't edit own posts First time breaking forum policy 1 Week
Recorded Warning As above plus cannot edit profile Second time breaking forum policy, or for a "serious" infraction 2 Weeks
Counselling & Probation "Read only" access to the forums (no posting or interaction) Third strike, or for grossly inappropriate behaviour 1 Week
Banned No access to the forums When there is no salvaging this user. Permanent

So now your clear on both topics, trolling & the Warning System. We shouldn't have anymore misunderstandings.

I dont understand how anyone new to a forum would seek to antagonize other members/staff. Remember the members of this board are either serving members of the CF,are retired,former soldiers or civilians with a keen interest in military affairs.A few of us represent various militaries that call Canada friend and all members should be treated with courtesy.
