BrianBB there is no need for a tantrum. The DS was trying to help you. This temper tantrum on line goes a long way to showing your real character. I would not want you as an officer in my company.

Fair Enough then, TREAT ME like a GUEST on your forums then.

You guys aren't potraying a very postive image of the militants that come on these forums, I could've easily been someone who Was on the the fence about joining or not joining and you would treat me like that? Fair enough, I understand, but still.

Guests get treated on the basis on how they act Brian. Thats not what you are getting, you came across negatively so consequently you get treated that way. If you decide not to join the CF based on how you were treated at a privately owned forum then you have issues.

If you are that easily swayed from joining the army by your quick interaction with random people on a website then you probably
wouldn't make it long in the military.

No one gets along with everyone.  But you did ask at least one question that raises the ire of every military personnel so don't be
surprised to received a little attention.

Mods are like Trolls.  Stop arguing with them and they'll leave you alone  :D

Except you should listen to mods, ignore trolls.  If you don't like what the mods are telling you, you're free to leave.

Perhaps he could unravel those issues with a leap frog reading and spelling pad.

I understand, but the way I see it, these are forums for discussion, no one is on duty here,

Although some of us do post from work on occasion, during breaks. And we are what we are regardless of where we are, what we're doing, and what we're wearing. We do not undergo a personality change when the uniform comes off.

If you want to join a group, you learn to follow the rules and customs of that group, and those of the CF and this site are pretty much the same. That should not come as a surprise.

and I AM NEW to this.

Fine. So is everybody else on this site and in the CF at some point. It's the first impression that one makes that often determines how one is judged and accepted (or not). Some people fiind instant acceptance in both places. Some, despite making a bad first impression, eventually work through that. Some never do.

You did not make a good first impression with your first post. That's unfortunate, but it's done. What counts now is what you do from this point on. You have been given blunt but good advice, whether you think so or like it or not, yet you have ignored it. Should you eventually score high enough on the CFAT to get further into the pilot selection process - and there is much more of that to come before you even start training - or opt for a different specialty you will simply fail at a later point at this rate. Interact with your instructors like this, and you won't last long in the CF. If you think that this site is harsh, uncompromising, merciless, brutal, or whatever (and it can be) then you're in for a rude awakening should you get into the CF.

Suck it up, listen to the advice that you've been given and will be given, and follow it and you may have a chance. It's up to you.

That ain't the spelling pad. That's "Edison".

Believe me I hear "Hi I'm Edison" quite a few times during the day....but my son's is purple.

I guess the new purple one is the "improved version".
;D

C'mon, he's been/is being an ass, but I think that's baiting him, and frankly, rude. Before you jump on me, remember that he hasn't posted in a while and hopefully is heeding the advice to read the guidlines and change his ways. Give him a chance.

OK folks, we're done here.  There shouldn't be any reason to reopen this thread.
