I am trying to find information and eventually service records and such on three brothers who joined up at the beginning of WWII.  They all intended to join the Black Watch in Montreal but the older boys were sheet metal workers and when those in charge learned of their trade they were reassigned to Ordinance.  The youngest stayed with the Black Watch and was possibly a drummer in the Pipe Band.

The brothers were:
John Leroy Young
Leonard Earl Young
Earl "Bubsy" Marvin Young RHR (1939-1945), Black Watch, 1st Battalion.
Member Royal Canadian Legion, branch 198, Rawdon, Quebec - Deceased 2004

Any suggestions on where to look considering this is all the information I have so far?
The last remaining family member, their sister Grace and my grandaunt, will likely be the person to apply for their records once I find sufficient information.  We are trying to create a family history and want very much to include their service in the Forces for their grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Best Regards,
Joyce :salute:

Bonjour Joyce, not only i may have some information but i am a ''Lost member'' of clan Young.  i know most of the Young left La Belle Province of Quebec in 75.  If my information is correct most of you are in Ontario some may actually be in California now.

Hope you still read this topic, you should have acces to my Hotmail

Pierre  :salute:

How to Send an Inquiry Concerning Your Own or Another Individual's Records

    * Your request must be signed.
    * To identify a file, we require surname, full given name(s), date of birth, and service number or social insurance number.
    * If you do not know the date of birth, service number or S.I.N. (social insurance number), secondary information (e.g., the names of next of kin, postings, dates of service, place of enlistment) can assist in identifying the correct individual.
    * Consult the section below on Access Restrictions.
    * Please specify what document(s) you require. If you are doing family history research, we recommend that you request a "genealogy package," which will include copies of selected documents from the file that highlight/summarize the individual's service.
    * We do not accept email inquiries for these records. Inquiries must be sent by mail or fax.
    * Your request can be written as a letter or you can print off a blank copy of the Application for Military Service Information form available in [PDF 663 KB] or [RTF 44,516 KB] format, which should be filled in, signed and sent by mail or fax.
