With the AOPS being named for both men and a woman, what are we doing for them?Actually, the French use whatever the actual ship's name requires as gender. For instance, it is "le" (masculine) Charles de Gaulle, "le" Mistral, "le" Tonnerre but it was "la" (feminine) Jeanne D'arc, "la" Bretagne, "la" Provence, or the indeterminate "l' " such as "l' " Aquitaine, etc.
They? With the AOPS being named for both men and a woman, what are we doing for them?
Are we calling the Harry DeWolf a male ship or a female ship? What about Margaret Brooke? Is that ship a female ship or a male ship?
To me the ships are female. High maintenance, and it’s all about them. With the AOPS being named for both men and a woman, what are we doing for them?

The St Laurent class were named after rivers. Most of the rivers were named after men. The ships were still regarded as female. They?

Ships are still commonly referred to as "she", regardless of the name. That said, in official documents it's either the ship's name, or "the ship".With the AOPS being named for both men and a woman, what are we doing for them?
