Likely down in the mountains, not good

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Royal Canadian Air Force is scouring the province northeast of here, looking for a cargo plane that went missing after taking off from YVR this morning.

Naval Lieutenant Paul John Trenholm says there has been no sight of Carson Air flight 66 after it lost contact with NavCanada. “It was due to arrive in Prince George around eight in the morning. We’ve got a Cormorant tasked at this time and we are currently tasking another Cormorant. Additionally a C1 Hercules and an Aurora aircraft.”

Trenholm adds they’ll be using the flight plan filed by the airline to guide their search, but there are no hints so far.

The only people on board the twin prop turbo engine plane are two employees.
