Been really busy as of late teaching and running admin for the guys  I got back at my unit. Quick question that I am having issues finding info on. And a huge varying opinion depending on who I talk to.

Been promoted out of JNCO mess do I have to clear out of that mess and clear into the Snr NCO mess? Or is that done by the clerks after I got promoted? Not changing base's or anything either.

Others have said I gotta go to the BOR and sort it all out.

Anyone with concrete answers?

I had to clear out of one and into the other.  Other bases could be different, though.

No, you do it yourself.  Take your PLCC card to the JR mess, clear out.  Go to Sgt's Mess Clear in.
Don't do what I did and leave your PLCC card in your pants and them wash them.........:)

You have to clear out of one and into the other because your Mess Dues will change (and, so - you can get the "departure gift" from the Jr "on promotion out of their Mess"  >:D). You will then have to visit the clerks to have your new Mess Dues rate implemented - or "may have to visit the clerks ... some bases will do that change in allotment automatically after the Mess' send them the "Cease allotment" and "start new allotment" paperwork.

Congrats on earning your way into the next Mess BTW.

haha thanks.
Yeah Mo I guess it does vary base to base, hence the confusion I've been hearing. I'll take the two peices of info there RMS! Not saying I will remeber the latter of course!

Cheer's Vern. A gift! Maybe it will be worth the walk over there tomorrow! Oh well it's an excuse to go out for a bit of a walk anyway.

Cheers guys/gals

Congratulations, Dogger!
