What are the military courses of action regarding a member getting a fine (from civy police) for intoxication in a public place?  Could you be taken off course?  Any other disciplinary action that could be taken?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Safest thing to do, is talk to you CoC ASAP.  I'm not really sure what the consequences are, but I guarantee you are more likely to be let off easier if you approach someone and tell them what happened first.  A Sgt. on my course said I don't mind bailing you out of jail, as long as I'm bailing you all out jail, haha (he loved teamwork), so I don't know how big of a deal it would be, but if you go to them first before they find out, you're going to be viewed as being more responsible, and taking responsibility for your actions.

Failure to report will have dire consequences. Report it ASAP to your CoC, if it was a ticket type infraction you may well be counseled on it.
You do not want the wrath of the system coming down on you for not reporting an arrest.

Agreed with what the others have suggested. Woe to you or your coursemate if you let your chain of command know later rather then sooner.

Anything that is recorded on your criminal record could have an affect on your career. Maybe not now, but it could later on (like when you apply for a higher security clearance and it gets delayed when they discover you have a criminal record, regardless of what is on it).

I was facing a Highway Traffic Act charge that started out serious but ended up relatively minor (on the grand scale of things) but I still passed it up my chain just in case.

Heh... the ticket fine was for public intoxication..... and not driving while under the influence.
It should not be a biggie - just don't let it become a surprise to your CoC in the future.
Report it and be done with it.  If you have not had a problem with alcohol in the past, you shouldn't hear anything more about it. If it is a regular occurence... you might be offered a "coffee" course.
