Question to any knowledgeable recruiter, ie. not informed dont need to hear from you.  thanks.
Is the program where a commercial helicopter pilot can join and skip fixed wing, straight to rotary wing still in around?
Thanks again, appreciate your time.

This is not Rotary Wing, but may still be relevant:

Rotary is a bit different, but it's a very rare program.  It's one of those programs that's dealt with on a individual basis and has to be approved at quite a high level.  There was one guy on that program while I was at Helo School.  Only way to know is to go to the authority but there's a good chance that the recruiting center won't know anything.  Make sure they check into it though because if all you had to do is phase 3 it would be a benefit for all.

Also it depends on how many hours/experience/type.  If you have worked in the industry as a proffessional pilot with a ATPL(H), a couple thousand hours, multi-engine turbine time then go for it.  If you have a CHPL with a minimum of hours, no joy but you would be better off doing the fixed wing phases in the long run anyway.

Good luck

If you are referring to the Heli-Cop program - this entry is for the Reserves only.  You will not get a full time job out of it.  It also depends on the gaining unit and whether they have staff that are current on the B206 which is leased from CHL for training.

All Regular force Pilots are expected to proceed through the entire training regime at Portage/Moose Jaw as an instructional tour at one of those schools is most definitely in the future.
