Component Transfer updates

I filed a CT in december from Pres Inf to RegF MP, I was contacted and was asked to confirm my MPRR which I did.

Within the email it specifically stated not to reply with queries as to where in the process my file was at, due to staff limitations.

About a month ago I sent them a email with an updated MPRR which included a promotion, and three qualifications, but no reply from them in acknowledgment of recieving it.

I was wondering if there is any way to recieve an update from them without contradicting there request.

Perhaps somethin on the DWAN where an inserted file number brings up the application and its details? or maybe even a possible point of contact.

In short, I am just trying to see if my application was dropped (unlikely) or if it is still processing.
Any information is welcome, thanks

This may help.

41 pages.

Thanks for the post, though I was trying to avoid reading 1000 posts on a thread that started almost 15 years ago.

That really speaks volumes.

We are so sorry that we did not cater to your specific needs.  WAIT!  We did.  We merged all info we could into one easy to find thread with the most recent being at the end; and the oldest, but sometimes still relevant, at the start of the thread.  If you are too lazy to read it, it is not our fault, but yours.

I hope that this is not an indication as to what kind of investigator you actually are.  If you can't do your research, what kind of MP will you turn out to be?  If you need to be spoon fed everything, what kind of CAF member are you going to be?

Well that appears to be a very bitter response by a very bitter individual who has far too much free time, unfortunatly after reading through 15 pages of the last thread the most common thing I retained was 'this DAOD is now out of date' the links provided were no longer available due to updates and changes in policy.

I believe the purpose of a forum is to educate and discuss wihin a personal setting, if I wanted to read something that was long, out of date, with a significant amount of irrelevant information I would search through the intranet using the provided search engine, which I did.

Let's be mature here and use these forums for their sole purpose.
If you truly have nothing better to do than try to insult people on an army forums message board than I pity you.

Also consider the following, perhaps the context in which you translated my response was incorrect, I was not trying to sound sarcastic, ungrateful, or rude, which is why I thanked the member for his post and for the link he provided.

I simply attempted to state that I felt reading though 1000 posts spanning over a decade was going to take some time, because perhaps there is someone out there who has an email, a link, or a phone number at their immediate disposal. Which would be the most benefit if you consider the economy of effort.

I am not seeking for a response within the next few minutes or days.

Plus I think it is truly unfair to base my skills of investigation and policing based on this single thread, after teaching on countless military courses and being qualified on quite a few specialty courses one thing I learned is that you can hardly blame the member for not possessing the knowledge or skill set that they have not been formally taught yet.

Then you also know that if DND/CAF can not keep their links current, then how would you expect us to?

I'll update this thread with what I know.

Files are processed on a first come first serve, first basis. There is literally nothing you can do but wait. I've already been told not to expect anything until at least FY 15/16. He said it could be possible if everyone else turned down their offers as some in my trade are (2nd/3rd choices) but not to hold my breath. While not the news I wanted, better than nothing.

As per what you should do, the one time I contacted them (to request to change trades after a medical results) I got a reply fairly quickly and was given an ack back.

You should be assigned a broker, but the way my broker explained it was we won't contact you until we are getting close to give you and update or if something is wrong.  So you don't know who your POC is until they contact you directly.

It is a wonderful system..  ;D

You can either roll the dice and email the generic email or look up the org chart on the DWAN and roll the dice and call one of the four or so CT Brokers and ask for an update and whether ornot they received your MPRR.

What I have been doing is getting my Chief Clerk to email the Generic Email on my behalf, for the one time I needed to email them it worked smoothly. I'd suggest trying that, personally.

As per the Mega Thread. Anything before 2007 or so (Whenever CT's stopped being processed through the CFRC's is useless because the process completely changed. They are now done through DMCPG-5 and prior to that DMIL C-7, anything that references either of those two departments is relevant. I'd suggest reading from 2015-2008 if you want more information.
