I have been thinking of applying to CAF (active duty) either as a Sig O, CELE O, or other relevant trades after I'm eligible for citizenship (currently a PR) by late 2027 or so.
As for my own background, I have a Canadian CS bachelor degree, currently working at as a software developer with 7 yrs of experience in the private sector. I will be 28 yrs old at the time of application.
However, I'm concerned on the medical side of things:
Do I stand a chance due to my medical condition or should I just forget about joining ?

However, I'm concerned on the medical side of things:
- I've been on daily statin 20mg for the past 2 years due to abnormally high cholesterol for my age and background (doctor says its likely genetics). The condition has been stable since last year since I started the medication. I will likely remain on statin for life.
- I also have flat feet. I don’t have any symptoms, but I still use orthotics during sport activities.
Do I stand a chance due to my medical condition or should I just forget about joining ?
