Well reading and talking to a few people on here; I respect the opinion when it comes to gear purchases; so here is the scenario:
I am heading to 'The Stan' in about 4 weeks and already wear a plate carrier on missions, the army has seen fit to issue the new plate carrier system to our unit (which I have no real desire to wear) But am looking for something with a side plate adapter and therefore here is my choice http://www.tacticaltailor.com/platecarriersideupgrade.aspx  Any thoughts or experiences with this would be appreciated.

Oh and I thought I would post a link to the army body armor system

Take care MBP

If you're looking for plate carrier reviews, you might want to have a look over at www.lightfighter.net as there are numerous reviews and discussions of plate carriers.

For the most part Canadian troops (unless your CANSOFCOM or doing VIP Close Protection) are required to wear the standard CF ballistic frag vest.  Using a plate carrier as your main form of PPE against rifle rounds instead of the issued vest is forbidden.  As such, the experience and opinions of most of this board's members might not be as extensive as what you'll find over at Lightfighter.

Cheers,

Matt

Hey!  MBP

So sniper or Ranger? I'm calling you out as a Walt.

If your not....prove me wrong for all to see. Answer these easy questions:

1. Are you a tab ranger or a scroll ranger?

2. What was your Ranger class number?

3. What phase of the school did you like the most or least, and why?

4. Where did you go to Ranger school, Ft. Bragg or Ft. Benning ?

5. Who was your Ranger buddy in the school (optional)

6. What Ranger Unit have you belonged to?

I've grown tired of hearing your exploits.

I have heard that the best walts use melmac. Superior balistic qualities.  ;D The Svc Bns always had nice plate carriers, reminded me of a pillow case.
