Just to help you keep track of vital nutrients  ;D
Crown Royal packaging will now feature nutritional information.

For the record, a single serving of Crown Royal Canadian whisky contains 96 calories and zero grams of fat or carbohydrates.

Crown Royal is now the first alcoholic beverage shipped in the U.S. that features nutritional information on the brand’s packaging. The move comes more than a decade after parent company Diageo pushed the federal government to give it permission to print those facts.

The world’s largest liquor company said Tuesday it began shipping Crown Royal cases with the labeling to distributors, who will then sell them to retailers ....

Fantastic!

Now I can plan how to substitute whisky into my diet as a substitute for other caloric intake.

It's all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, right?

Philosophical question:

When calculating the number of calories in a serving of alcohol, should you also include the calories in the shawarma you'll be eating on the way home from the bar?

You only include a percentage of post intoxication caloric intake.  This takes into account the different digestion/absorption rates for liquids (especially alcoholic beverages) and solids.  As the quantity of liquid intake in the bar increases, the likelihood of retaining solids in the digestive tract decreases.  This is scientifically known as the "hey cabbie, got room for a pizza and case of beer" theory.

But how do you approtion those calories among the multiple beverages?

Clearly, we need to conduct detailed experimentation to create a statistically valid sample set for research.

See, this what I enjoy about Army.ca and its members- the single minded goal of advancing science!
