Hello, I am thinking of joining the CF once i graduate from high school, my plan is to train to be a engineer, be it combat, computer, i am unsure of at the moment. I'm not sure how I should go about with my post-secondary education. Do I first join the reserves, or regular?

That's what I mean, I searched up the process, but I was wondering what other people recommend.

He means, use the search function on this forum.  This question has been asked many times.

Unfortunately, many who say "use the search function" seldom help enough to even provide a link or suggested terms to search on.

Start your reading here:

Renewed Recruiting FAQ: Thinking about Joining & Recruiting Process

As you become familiar with the necessary vocabulary, you'll have a better chance with the search page; use the function controlling the age of returned threads to limit searches to more recent contributions..

O I did, but all the posts i did find were old ones, and none of them recommend a specific plan, most repeat the recruitment process. Like what do you recommend to help increase my chances of a successful career? Joining the regular over reserves, serve as infantry soldier or get a degree first, etc. As I am new to these forums and the military in general, I am unsure of any keywords I should use in my searches. I have tried full sentences, specific words, but anything remotely related to what I'm asking, i keep getting sent back to the process.

There are many options, which you are alluding to, and no-one here can suggest one or another would be better for you with confidence.  You need to research each option and decide which will fit your own circumstances and future plans the best.

What others recommend can get you in alot of hot water. Hostels, seem like great ideas at first. Then you you feel bad because you're miserable and uncomfortable. Then you feel worse a day later because you essentially bought crabs and atheletes foot....at discount rates, off others advice.

What could anyone recommend for a stranger who gives no insight to their interests or strengths relating to THEIR FUTURE ? "I want to be an Engineer" Is a very general statement. But theres a TONNE of really cool and fascinating areas engineering at the post secondary level will expose you to. College and University. Get ready for lots of math based studies and fun.

What the Reserves offer and the options after that have, in depth, been covered. As have  the only other routes , searching will help you narrow down to questions that others here will be able to help you with....Trust me Ive seen it. And the more you read here and google the more sense things make. Get an idea where you think you might want to take this and turn it into a research project. Then criticise it to ruin and rebuild, and get used to that lol  Good luck.
