Curious to hear anecdotes from people with ADHD who've applied since the medical standards were changed last year

For people with ADHD who've applied since the beginning of 2025, did you get medical clearance? What trade were you applying for? Did you have to stop taking medication? If so, for how long prior to applying?

I know that medical clearance for this kind of thing is evaluated ona case-by-case basis, but I was hoping to get an idea of what's the general guidelines were. The trade I wanted to apply for has a G2 requirement (specifically infantry). I was diagnosed with ADHD for which I've taken medication the last couple years. I can function mostly fine without it and I'd be willing to stop taking it if necessary. As I understand it, it used to be non-negotiable that you not take any regular medication, but that might be different now. I’ve also read that taking medication for ADHD is fine for current members, including for trades that list G2 as a minimum requirement, but is not okay for people applying. Does that mean it’s fine to stop taking the medication for a period of time before applying to demonstrate you can function without it, and then resuming after you’re enrolled?

Anyone with recent relevant experience with this who can advise?
