De-carbonization (slow - allow it to occur "naturally" as alternate energy sources are found - carbon will then return to its fundamental role as building blocks for bugs, plants, animals, people and things),
De-population (another net good)
De-globalization (can't happen fast enough)
De-dollarization (it is a thing - talents, shekels, solidi, denarii, shillings, florins, crowns, pounds, thalers, dollars ..... carbon units are a possibility but I kind of like the idea of the Joule as a monetary unit.)

Oh! Daftandbarmy, Daftandbarmy, Daftandbarmy! Ye of little faith.

We all know how it ends: 5 billion years from now, the Sun runs out of Hydrogen and turns into a red giant that swallows at least Mercury and Venus, and probably us, but it wouldn't matter because it would have cooked all life out of existence on Earth 4 billion years before that.

So, yes, in a billion year from now, Earth will cease to support life. On a Universal scale, the end is nigh.
