Anyone have a decent source for good quality diecast AFV?  Looking for harder to find pieces, ie Leo AVLB, AEV, ARV,  etc.

Any particular scale 1/285 , 1/100, 1/87, 1/72, 1/48,  1/35?

I'm thinking in the 1/100 area, maybe 1/72 at the outside....that's a pretty big TV topper!

edit:  On a rethink, smaller is way better for what I have in mind, so 1/285 would be good.  Sort of like the models we used to get from EWK and MAK back in the day, anyone remember those?

If you are still interested in 1/72 scale try Modeller's Choice out of Hamilton http://www.modellerschoice.com/DesktopDefault3.aspx?tabid=38&CategoryId=28. They stock a good mixture of WWII and modern kits as well as offering sales over the web. For a review of 1/72 kits that are out there try: http://www.diecast72.com/

I have order from Modeler's Choice before and I had no problems with them. They even order special paint for my U-Boat.  How cool is that, eh? ;D

How's that thing coming?

I have gone crazy looking for this.

I would like to get a 1/35 Iltis kit.  Preferably the closest to the Canadian model, however I can modify.

Anyone?

Search for the string: "NZG 1:35 Iltis nato-oliv" on the URL below.

The little traffic light is in red so it might be out of stock (I don't speak German so no idea if there is something on the page saying out of stock).

I honestly been busy with work. But when things slow down in the summer I might be a chance to get at it. Last time I touch it, I just finsh putting the hulls together. Now I'm in the middle of thinking if I should place it in the diorama now and add the waves or fully build it then place it in the waves.. I know a lot of work is needed for the hull.. but a lot of it will be hidden anyways.

For 1/72 diecast, try the forces of valour line, they have the Sherman with Minerollers, I just picked up the churchill and the box shows they now offer the Grant and a German half-track with rocket launchers, M3 halftrack, plus the Tiger 1 and the Su-122.

They have a good selection of modern armour also.

Trackjam is owned by a friend of mine, an Engineer officer and excellent modeller.
