Hello,

I'm preparing for college and I want to attend a Canadian University. I not only want to study in Canada but want to become a citizen of the Great White North. I was curious if Canada has it's own version of the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC). ROTC allows you to train and earn a commission while attending a regular university. I want to prove my commitment to be a good citizen and show my gratitude to Canada by serving in the army if I can become a permanent resident and then citizen. I know I'll have to become a permanent resident first before being considered for any military training. I don't want to go to strictly military school so I'll just enlist after college if Canada doesn't have this type of program.

I appreciate all help and info and I'm so glad I found this place.  :) :cdn:

WBC there are lots of threads out there regarding non citizens becoming members of the CF as well as programs you can take to become an officer please use the Search function.
