DO YOU HAVE TO BE 3'S QUALIFIED TO LIVE OFF BASE ? URGENT!!! WIFE IS NAGGING

Hello,
I will be re joing the military in july. I was out for a year from the navy.

Soon i will begin a new trade (something in communication) in Base Borden.

I am married with children living in Windsor now and would really like to know if i have a chane to live off base while in my new training. As this training will be about 6 months i would pay for the move myself so i can be with my family.

Do you have to be 3'S QUALIFIED? OR CAN I LIVE OFF BASE WITH THE FAMILY?

Typically, QL3 students are seldom allowed to live off base. You would have to ask your school staff the question for the most appropriate answer.

Thanks for your reply and i would ask my school if it werent for the very long wait, i need to have a good idea before im already in school. I know from years of being in the military that there are exemptions sometimes... just wondering if there is any way to not have to live on base. 4 years ago i was permitted to live off base from the beginning of my training, ten i heard they changed it.
