Brave man, putting up a link for folks to donate to the Legion.

The money does not go to the Legion, it goes to help veterans. Things like Veterans Transition Program and housing for homeless vets.

Well most of it will depending on the Branch/Zone/District/Province Admin costs  ::)

The letter they posted 15 November shocked the shite out of me. 7 years of selling out  new vets and then this. Maybe the Legion has finally woken up to the fact that most new vets view them with disgust.

People donate money because they want to help veterans. This fund helps veterans (I know because I am a vet that was helped), and you guys just crap all over it. Tell me, how do you spend your hard earned shekels if you want to help vets? I spend mine on the poppy fund and the Legion foundation because I see the good work it does for Yukon vets. I know where the money goes because I have a lot of say in how it is spent.

You mean the money vets need because the NVC cut too much off of veteran's benefits? The NVC that the government and Legion fully supported. So you are mad that soldiers don't want to donate to a group that caused much of the current problem their fund tries to fix. I would rather the legislation be improved.

I currently spend my shekels on doctors and got a research permit to buy experimental peptides to treat brain injuries. A few hundred Canadian soldiers have undiagnosed or misdiagnosed mild brain injuries. Compared to the SSRI and benzo treadmill this treatment improves health and performance. I am sad that it does very little for PTSD/OSI that is properly diagnosed.
