Ah, dreaming. Now we're in my lane.

Are you under the influence of some sort of pharmaceuticals?

That's why this is my lane.

My recent trips to the operating room (I have a personal one now) have seen me on a number of medications including: Hydromorphone, Tramacet, Amoxicilin, Nova Noprox, some sulculphrate pill, a dime sized white one which I can't remember the name, Lyrica, Gabapentin and a vile tasting liquid. (those are the ones off the top of my head)

These medications, primarily the Gabapentin and Lyrica are nothing short of pure evil. It scares me to take them. My body has some kind of reaction with these meds that cause the most violent, lifelike and vivid nightmares that you could imagine in your worst dreams.

I wake up in the middle of the night at times so terrified that I feel physically sick. It has been to the point at times where I had made sure to have enough to drink prior to going to sleep that the nightmares don't come, because afterall, you don't dream when you blackout.

I have seen people decapitated by passing cars, watched family members be skinned alive, watched my brother die in a firey crash.

One of my personal favorites is watching a friend of mine die after she was given a choice of either A) "We saw your hands off, and let you try to call for help on this phone, or" B) "we hack off your feet and you crawl over that hill for help."
She chose A and I watched her die, so naturally I chose B. This is the part where I point out that the dreams are so lifelike that it's just like I am here sitting in this chair typing on a keyboard. I can feel everything that happens. It is for all intents and purposes REAL. You just wake up after being killed.
After choosing B, I'm on the ground and can feel the weight of the axe make it's first strike. It was pressure more than anything. So, I'm on the ground, scared out of my wits, clawing at the grass trying to get away, when the axe comes down again, and I feel the hot burning pressure more lifelike than what I felt after any operation.

See. Dreams are wonderful aren't they? I close my eyes even when I'm wide awake and I can still see them.
I can guarantee you that one session with a shrink, and I'll have them curled up in a corner rocking gently.

Now, I think it's either time for a drink, or bed.

Oddball.

That's some heavy duty medication there, Uncle Oddball.
